MARIJA TICL's music education began at the Music school Požega, where she graduated in Solo singing in the class of Draženka Hačka. As the valedictorian of 2016, she was awarded by the Rotary Club Požega. During her high school education, she continued to win first prizes in singing competitions such as Lav Mirski Osijek and The Organ Festival Heferer.

 

In 2022, she graduated from the Academy of Music in Pula in the Programme of Music Pedagogy. Currently, she is in her final year of the University Graduate Programme of Solo Singing at The Academy of Music in Pula in the class of doc.art. Marija Kuhar Šoša. In 2022, she won first prizes in various international singing competitions such as the international music competition Caneres in Vienna, where she qualified for the final in August 2023. She was also awarded the Prize of the Croatian Chamber Orchestra in the International singing competition Stojan Stojanov Gančev (Zagreb, Croatia), which allows her to perform with the orchestra in the concert season 2022/2023. Moreover, she won the Osijek-Baranja County Award in the International singing competition Lav Mirski in Osijek, Croatia, and the first prize in the international competitions Musical Lace in Idria, Slovenia, and Danubia Talents Liszt in Budapest, Hungary.

 

During her education, she took additional studies with KS Olivera Miljaković, Dame Emma Kirkby, Nicholas Clapton, and Darija Hreljanović. She performed as a solo singer in numerous projects of the Academy of Music in Pula, such as J. Rutter: Magnificat (2018), W. A. Mozart: Coronation Mass in C major (2018), KV 317, W. A. Mozart: Requiem, KV 626 (2019), J. Haydn: La Canterina as Don Ettore (2019), A. Vivaldi: Gloria, RV 589 (2019), and the opera La serva padrona as Serpina (2022). Additionally, she often performs as a solo singer accompanied by eminent pianists and organists. Since 2021, she has been teaching solo singing at the Music School Požega.
