Leufat Buçuku, violin

LEUFAT BUÇUKU was born on January 4, 2001, in Peja, Kosovo.  He started playing the Violin at the age of 9, in the “Halit Kasapolli” School of Music in Peja, with prof. Luan Vokshi.
In the 2nd year he continued violin lessons with prof. Eris Opari, which was his violin professor until he finished High School. In 2016 Leufat continued the Violin studies in the High School of Music “Halit Kasapolli” in Peja, and began to take lessons from prof. Sihana Badivuku as well.
During this 3 year school period, Leufat learned to master the piano as well, in the class of prof. Zana Badivuku Basha.

 

He has participated in various concerts within the country and abroad (Kosovo, Macedonia, Italy, Croatia and Germany):

- Concert in “Pavla Markovca” School in Zagreb, Croatia,
- Festival “Chopin Piano Fest” in Pristina,
- International Music Festival "DAM" in Prishtina,
- International Classical Music Festival "Do Re Mi, Une dhe Ti",
- Concert in Kurhaus Bad Steben (as a participant in the masterclass for chamber music of the 
-“Kölner Klaviertrios” in Haus Marteau) in Bad Steben/Germany.
- Concert in Schönwalder Grundschule (as a participant in the masterclass for chamber music of the “Kölner Klaviertrios” in Haus Marteau) in Schönwald/Germany.
- The festival “Violin Fest”, in Skopje/Macedonia,
- The festival “Kosova Kamer Fest”, in Prishtina,
- Concertmaster in Western Balkans Youth Orchestra’s concert, in Prishtina, October 2021.
- Prishtina International Festival “ReMusica”
- Concert with the ensemble and the orchestra of Gjakova and the participation and cooperation of Johannes Fleischmann (the host), in Vienna/Austria,
- Final student concert in “V Masterclass Fest” in Anacapri/Italy, on: 23.07.2022 – Interpretation with violin.
- Festival “Ramë Lahaj International Opera Festival (RLIOF)” in Prishtina,

Concert with String Chamber Orchestra and the Composer/Violinist and also the Conductor from the Republic of Ireland/ Finland.
- Recital Concert (Violin) in Prishtina, on: 11.05.2023.
- Numerous concerts with Kosovo Philharmonic Orchestra as a member of the orchestra, Faculty’s Orchestra as a concertmaster and chamber ensembles.
- Numerous concerts as a pianist and as an accompanist (Piano).

In addition to his numerous performances, Leufat has actively participated in various music competitions in Kosovo, Macedonia, and Bulgaria, where he has won many 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes.

Throughout his musical journey, Leufat participated in masterclasses for violin held by Eris Opari, Ulrike Danhofer, Alban Pengili, Janusz Nykiel, Walter Schreiber, Jovan Bogosavljevic, Sihana Badivuku, Rudens Turku, Yukiko Tezuka, Önder Baloglu, and Dmitri Berlinsky. He also had the opportunity to participate in passive masterclasses for violin at the Kronberg Academy, learning from Ana Chumachenco, Mauricio Fuks, Mihaela Martin, Gerhard Schulz, and Pavel Vernikov.

Leufat's dedication to music extended to the piano, and he honed his skills through masterclasses with Zana Badivuku, Lejla Pula, Ardita Statovci, Desar Sulejmani, Derek Han, and Norman Shetler. His orchestral training has been enriched by working with accomplished mentors like Desar Sulejmani, Daniel Garlitski, Walter Schreiber, Joanna Sachryn, Anna Pelczer, Memli Kelmendi, Bajar Berisha, Edon Ramadani, and Önder Baloglu.

For six months, Leufat had the privilege of teaching violin and piano at the "Shkolla e Muzikes, Artit dhe Baletit 'Yllezat'," where he shared his passion and knowledge with aspiring musicians.

Today, Leufat continues his pursuit of musical excellence as he advances his violin studies at the "Faculty of Arts" in Prishtina, under the guidance of his mentor, professor Sihana Badivuku.
