Montage Week, one of the most significant activities within the #synergy project, took place from April 28th to May 3rd at the Creative Hub in Kotor, Montenegro. KotorArt Don Branko's Music Days hosted all the project participants; 12 composers, over 20 musicians, partners representatives, and cultural researchers. Throughout the intensive week, musicians and composers collaborated on new pieces, while cultural managers presented the results of their research on the position of art music in the region.

During the closing conference, composers Milivoje Pićurić, Matija Krečić, Helena Skljarov, Predrag Radisavljević, Jetmir Zaganjori, Kreshnik Alickaj, Timotej Kosovinc, Mira Radisavljević, Nina Perović, Tomislav Oliver, and Kris Sopiqoti shared their experiences and approaches in creating their works. The final panel focused on the educational aspect of classical music composition and festivals. It also discussed the publication of the Classical Music Production Guidebook, a result of six workshops held over the past three years in six different countries, including Montenegro. This guide, discussed by Katja Bogovič and Marija Nikčević from the #synergy research team, will be the first of its kind in the region, summarizing approaches to classical music production in the Western Balkans.

Katja Bogovič, a collaborator of the Ljubljana Festival, highlighted the educational efforts of festivals to nurture young musicians through workshops, masterclasses, and performance opportunities, despite limited financial resources.

The #synergy project, initiated by the KotorArt International Festival and supported by the European Commission's Creative Europe program, aims to strengthen the capacity of the classical music industry in the Western Balkans. It will reach its grand finale this summer with the festival tour featuring the premieres of 12 new compositions created within the project. The project unites major art music festivals in the region: Belgrade Summer Festival (BELEF and BEMUS), Dubrovnik Summer Festival, Ljubljana Festival, Vox Baroque organization from Albania, and the F. Chopin Association from Kosovo.
