Dušan Medin

Dušan Medin (Kotor, 1990) graduated BA archaeology at the Faculty of Philosophy University of Belgrade (Serbia) in 2014 and MA studies at UNESCO Chair in Cultural Policy and Management: Interculturalism and Mediation in the Balkans in Belgrade (Serbia) and Lyon (France) in 2015, from 2018 studying PhD in Archaeology at Faculty of Humanities at Univerza na Primorskem in Koper (Slovenia) and from 2020 studying PhD in Theory of Arts at Faculty of Arts at University of Donja Gorica in Podgorica (Montenegro).
His professional experience is in civil (NGO) organizations, public administration, public cultural institutions, media, publishing, and as a freelancer in Serbia and Montenegro. He worked as: secretary at NGO Association of Paštrovići and Their Friends in Belgrade "Drobni pijesak" (Serbia, 2011-2015), project manager at NGO Association for Cultural Development “Bauo” in Petrovac na Moru (Montenegro, 2016-), advisor for culture and medias in Mayor's Office at Municipality of Budva (Montenegro, 2016-2017), administrative secretary and curator in Public Institution Museums and Galleries of Budva (Montenegro, 2017-2018), and director of the Municipal Public Institution "Museums" in Kotor (Montenegro, 2018-2019). He works as teaching assistant at the Faculty of Culture and Tourism University of Donja Gorica in Podgorica from the beginning of 2020. Beside the scientific work and publishing (monographs, papers, reviews...), he edited tens of scientific, professional and popular publications (monographs, proceedings, book of abstracts, journals, catalogues etc), was author and collaborator at many documentary exhibitions, organized and participated in numerous archaeological excavations, research projects, scientific conferences, round tables, workshops, exhibitions, events, documentaries, and other projects about culture and cultural heritage. He is interested in ancient and late medieval heritage of Eastern Adriatic Coast, history and theory of archaeology, studies of material culture, memory studies, reception of the past, management of cultural heritage, cultural policies, media and publishing. He lives in Petrovac na Moru (Montenegro).
