The\nrestaurants are in close proximity to one another, with the latter\nthe more formal of the two. The bathrooms aren&#8217;t bad at Earl&#8217;s\nLodge either&#8230;<\/p>\n\n<p>Aside from the offerings at the mountain, there are also a\nnumber of restaurants in the nearby towns of Huntsville and Ogden.\nThe old railway town of Ogden boasts a good selection of\nrestaurants and tends to be a popular spot for an evening meal. The\nUnion Grill steak house serves some excellent meaty dishes, while\nthe Roosters Brewing Company and Restaurant is also popular. Earl&#8217;s Lodge\ncloses at 5pm on weekdays and 6pm at weekends, bringing an early\nend to proceedings at the base area, while up on the mountain, the\nNeedles Lodge Dining Room closes at 4pm each day.<\/p>\n\n<p>With Eden and Huntsville both known as fairly quiet towns, the\nclosest available apr\u00e8s-ski can be found either in Ogden or in Park\nCity. With a youthful reputation for fun, Park City is the livelier\nof these two options, but is considerably further away. Ogden,\nmeanwhile, offers a more refined apr\u00e8s-ski, with visitors likely to\nspend their evening in one of Ogden&#8217;s many restaurants.<\/p>\n\n<h2 id=\"section-snowbasin-other-activities-4\">Snowbasin Other Activities<\/h2>\n<strong>With no night skiing, heli-skiing or snowcat skiing at Snowbasin, the choice of other activities is fairly limited during the winter months at Snowbasin.<\/strong>\n<h2 id=\"section-nordic-skiing-5\">Nordic Skiing<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nordic skiing constitutes the main alternative to skiing or\nboarding at Snowbasin when there is snow around, with 19.2\nkilometres of groomed cross country skiing trails. The trails are\nfree to use and are suitable for both skating and classic style\nNordic skiing, and can be accessed either by car or by using the\nfree shuttle bus from the Day Skier Lot.<\/p>\n\n<p>Tubing is an extremely fun alternative to skiing and boarding at\nSnowbasin, though the six-lane tubing hill &#8211; located by the base\narea &#8211; is only open on Saturdays and Sundays. Moonlit gondola rides\nare also available, though most winter visitors to Snowbasin spend\nthe rest of their time in Ogden&#8217;s selection of restaurants, or more\nextravagantly in the Needles Lodge restaurant.<\/p>\n\n<h2 id=\"section-summer-activities-6\">Summer Activities<\/h2>\n\n<p>It is a different story at Snowbasin in the summer, when the\nresort transforms into a mountain bikers&#8217; paradise. Proud of its\nreputation as an all-year-round resort, Snowbasin maintains its\nbiking trails throughout the summer, and offers a mix of\nbeginner-friendly trails and challenging uphill climbs. There are\n25 miles of trails in total, many of which are lift-served. Hikers\nalso take advantage of the summer months at Snowbasin, with three\ndesignated hiking trails to enjoy.<\/p>\n\n<p>Disc golf is another popular summer activity at Snowbasin, and\nis played much like traditional golf, except &#8216;golfers&#8217;
