Many of the mountain restaurants also offer beds for the night. The hotels are largely located on the road that runs from the main square to the Crest Gondola.: the 4-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/la-rouja.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Hotel La Rouja<\/a>, 4-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/relais-des-glaciers.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Hotel Relais des Glacier<\/a>, 3-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/bellevue-champoluc.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Hotel Bellevue<\/a>, 3-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/castor.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Hotel Castor<\/a>, 3-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/l-aiglon.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Hotel Aiglon<\/a>), and the closest of all to the Crest Gondola, the 3-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/de-champoluc.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hotel de Champoluc<\/a>. These are all very highly rated by previous guests, as are some budget hotels like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/le-vieux-rascard.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Le Vieux Rascard<\/a>, a family-run B&amp;B that&#8217;s about a 7-minute walk from the centre of the village and a good 15 mins walk from the lift, but the bus stops just outside its door. There are also self-catering apartments, including the highly rated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/apartment-gerandin.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Apartment Gerandin<\/a> and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/champolucapartment.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Champoluc Apartment<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Just 4km from Champoluc, Antagnod is an attractive village with a small ski area including a dedicated children&#8217;s section and a couple of longish easy blue\/red runs. The 3-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/petit-prince.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hotel Petit Prince<\/a> and the 2-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/le-clocher.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Hotel Le Clocher<\/a> in Antagnod offer good quality accommodation close to the pistes, at reasonable prices.<\/p>\n<p>A regular ski bus operates in the Champoluc valley and connects the main square with both of the lifts which give access to the ski area, as well as the neighbouring villages of Periasc, Brusson and Antagnod.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Champoluc hotels and apartments\" href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/city\/it\/champoluc.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Search Champoluc hotels and apartments and book online &gt;&gt;&gt;<\/a><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"section-chalets-and-chalet-holidays%c2%a0in%c2%a0champoluc-2\">Chalets and Chalet Holidays\u00a0in\u00a0Champoluc<\/h2>\n<p>Specialist UK travel agency Alpine Answers has a small selection of chalet holidays (including chalet hotels) in Champoluc. Currently, they are offering Ultimate-Ski readers a \u00a320 discount per group booking so make sure you mention Ultimate-Ski on their enquiry form if you want to claim this.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alpineanswers.co.uk\/ski-chalets-champoluc\/italy?utm_source=ultimate-ski.com&amp;utm_medium=referral\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"sponsored noopener noreferrer\">Search their Champoluc chalets &gt;&gt;&gt;<\/a><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"section-hotels-apartments-in%c2%a0gressoney-3\">Hotels &amp; Apartments in\u00a0Gressoney<\/h2>\n<p>Gressoney&#8217;s chalets and apartments are spread along the valley from below Gressoney St Jean to Stafal. The entire valley is served by a reasonably efficient bus service &#8211; not normally overcrowded by ski bus standards, and usually running bang on time, though there is fewer than one bus per hour during the middle of the day. Gressoney La Trinite and Gressoney St Jean and Stafal are where most of the &#8216;Residences&#8217; are located. &#8216;Residences&#8217; supply most of the accommodation in the valley and combine the benefits of apartments and hotels: i.e. self-catered but with a managed reception and a variety of facilities, so some are now called ApartHotels. They tend to be high quality and provide excellent value for money. Good ones include <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/villa-della-regina.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Residence Hotel La Villa della Regina <\/a>in Stafal and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/oberteil-gressoney-la-trinita-c.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Residence Oberteil<\/a> in La Trinite.<\/p>\n<p>There are notable hotels too. In Stafal, which has the quickest access to the highest slopes on both sides of the valley, there are the 4-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/club-la-trinita.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">TH Resorts Hotel Monboso,<\/a> the 4-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/chalet-du-lys.en-gb.html?aid=31839\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Chalet du Lys Hotel &amp; SPA<\/a>, the 3-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/nordend.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Hotel Nordend<\/a> (highly rated) and the 3-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/ellex.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Hotel Ellex.<\/a> Stafal is quite quiet at night but for immediate access to the slopes, you can also stay up the mountain above Stafal, near the top station of the Santa Anna cable car, at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/albergo-ristoro-sitten-2300mt.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Albergo Ristoro Sitten<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Gressoney La Trinite also has direct access to lifts and pistes that connect to the main Monterosa ski area and more nightlife. Hotels here include the 4-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/lo-scoiattolo.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Hotel Lo Scoiattolo<\/a> , the 3-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/dufour-gressoney-la-trinite.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hotel Dufour<\/a> (which is next door to the ski lift) and the 3-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/lysjoch.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Hotel Lysjoch<\/a>. All these are very highly rated.<\/p>\n<p>Further down the valley is the much larger resort town of Gressoney St Jean from where skiers commute to the slopes by bus. The top hotel here is the 4-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/sport-rudolf.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Sport Hotel Rudolf<\/a>. The 3-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/lyshaus.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Hotel Lyshaus<\/a>, and 2-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/villa-tedaldi.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Hotel Villa Tedaldi<\/a> are also worth a mention.<\/p>\n<p>Below Gressoney St Jean is the isolated Weissmatten ski area (included on the Monterosa ski pass but not connected to the main area) with its famous World Cup downhill run.\u00a0 You can stay at the foot of the slopes at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/albergo-alpenrose.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Albergo Alpenrose<\/a>. The bus stop is opposite the hotel so when you tire of the runs on your doorstep, you can catch a bus to the main Monterosa ski area. If you are made of sterner stuff, however, and don&#8217;t mind a bit of solitude, there are chalets halfway up the mountain accessible only by snow bike\/snowmobile and skis, called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/la-cialvrina.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">La Cialvrina<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/gressoney-gest.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Baite Cialvrina.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Gressoney hotels and apartments\" href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/city\/it\/gressoney-la-trinite.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Search Gressoney accommodation and book online &gt;<\/a><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"section-hotels-apartments-in%c2%a0alagna-4\">Hotels &amp; Apartments in\u00a0Alagna<\/h2>\n<p>Alagna is quite compact so most accommodation is within a 5- to 10-minute walk of the lift. Although there are fancier and more luxurious hotels in the village, Alagna is famous for its small, simple, inexpensive hotels. These include the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/mh-olen.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MH Olen Hotel <\/a>which is just by the piste, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/pensione-genzianella.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Pensione Genzianella<\/a> which is only yards from the lift. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/indren-hus.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Indren Hus<\/a> is further out but still within walking range.<\/p>\n<p>If you want more space and the freedom to cook some meals yourself, there are also several smart ApartHotels and Residences on the outskirts of the village. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/residence-orma.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Residence Orma<\/a> is within walking distance of the lift, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/allegroitalia-alagna-palace.en-gb.html?aid=318396\">Alagna Experience Resort<\/a> (which has a spa) is further out &#8211; about 900m from the lift; and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/pietre-gemelle-resort.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Pietre Gemelle<\/a> 4-star apartments are in neighbouring Riva Valdobbia, 3km from central Alagna.
