There are lots of good value small apartments in its large, block-like buildings and a few larger and more upmarket ones like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/le-pelvoux.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">R\u00e9sidence Odalys Le Pelvoux<\/a>. There are also two hotels &#8211; the 4-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/araucaria.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Araucaria Hotel &amp; Spa<\/a>, which has an indoor pool and spa, and consistently gets high customer ratings; and the 3-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/terra-nova.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Belambra Clubs H\u00f4tel La Plagne -Le Terra Nova-Half Board<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Plagne Soleil and Plagne Villages<\/strong> were both built in an attractive chalet style. They are very similar and so close to one another that they are often regarded as one village, although Plagne Soleil is slightly newer, smaller and more upmarket than its sibling. They sit in splendid isolation at 2050m in the same bowl as Plagne Centre, and the Telebus lift that links them to Plagne Centre stays open in the evenings, which is just as well as there is not much nightlife. (There are also shuttle buses, or you can walk.) There is a 3-star hotel in Plagne Soleil, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/le-vancouver.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Le Vancouver<\/a> with an indoor swimming pool. The nearby self-catering apartments in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/sun-valley-residence.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><strong>S<\/strong>un Valley Residence <\/a>are classified as ApartHotels because they also have access to an indoor pool and other facilities. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/les-granges-du-soleil.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">CGH Les Granges du Soleil<\/a> are 4-star serviced apartments in a large low-rise, chalet building complete with an indoor swimming pool sauna, hammam and gym, and with a restaurant in the building. Over in Plagne Villages, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/lagrange-prestige-aspen.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Lagrange Prestige Aspen<\/a> has apartments\/ApartHotels, with access to a swimming pool and spa. The ski-in, ski-out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/madame-vacances-les-chalets-des-alpages-la-plagne.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Madame Vacances les Chalets des Alpages<\/a> are technically self-catered chalets not apartments, and suit mid to large-sized parties.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"section-plagne-aime-2000-3\">Plagne Aime 2000<\/h2>\n<p>Plagne Aime 2000 is located at 2100m above sea level and is the highest of the La Plagne villages. Rather than walk to a lift at the start of the day, you typically ski down to\u00a0 Plagne Centre or Plagne 1800. There are some easy pistes for less confident skiers but absolute beginners can use the Telemetro lift that connects Plagne Aime 2000 with Plagne Centre. This also stays open in the evenings, which is useful because there are not many bars, shops and restaurants in Plagne Aime 2000. If you&#8217;re young, fit and sober enough, you can also walk between the villages, but wrap up well because cold is a killer at this altitude.<\/p>\n<p>Plagne Aime is not pretty and is rather dominated by the Club Med (see below) but there are inexpensive apartments here and one hotel, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/ho36-la-plagne.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Ho 36<\/a> which has good value family rooms. <a title=\"La Plagne Accommodation Search\" href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/city\/fr\/la-plagne-fr.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Search hotels, apartments and self-catered chalets in Plagne Aime 2000 &gt;<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Club Med La Plagne 2100<\/h3>\n<p>Club Med La Plagne 2100 is in a ski-in\/ski-out location in Plagne Aime 2000. It has a spa and fitness centre, and offers all-inclusive luxury family holidays for a relatively low price, given what&#8217;s included \u2013 not only full-board accommodation with gourmet food and an open bar but also ski passes, ski lessons, childcare and activities like fitness training. <a href=\"https:\/\/clk.tradedoubler.com\/click?p=220196&amp;a=1424208&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.clubmed.co.uk%2Fr%2Fla-plagne-2100%2Fy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Check Club Med for the latest offers and availability &gt;<\/a><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"section-plagne-1800-4\">Plagne 1800<\/h2>\n<h3>Plagne 1800 Chalets and Chalet Holidays<\/h3>\n<p>Plagne 1800 is situated below Plagne Centre and is a great resort for chalets. Specialist UK travel agent Alpine Answers offers a good selection of chalet holidays. There are also some self-catered chalets which you can book directly.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/city\/fr\/plagne-fr.en-gb.html?sid=09988b52a6a0e8cd424d4e9366c7e76d&amp;aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Search hotels, apartments and self-catered chalets in Plagne 1800 &gt;<\/a><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"section-belle-plagne-and-plagne-bellecote-5\">Belle Plagne and Plagne Bellecote<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Belle Plagne<\/strong> is well-named. It was purpose-built at high altitude (2050m) in an attractive chalet-like style and all the accommodation is either on the piste or close to it. There are good nursery slopes and gentle blue slopes surrounding the village making it handy for beginners, but it is conveniently located for exploring all of Paradiski and has the quickest access to the freeriding on Bellecote and Roche de Mio, so it&#8217;s popular with stronger skiers too. There are three good hotels: the 4-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/carlina-belle-plagne.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Carlina<\/a>, the 3-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/les-balcons-village.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Les Balcons<\/a> and the 3-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/belle-plagne-2100.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Vacances Bleues Belle Plagne Hotel.<\/a> And there is a huge choice of self-catering apartments too, including some rather upmarket ones such as the P&amp;V-managed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/ra-c-sidence-pierre-belle-plagne.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Les N\u00e9r\u00e9ides<\/a>. Belle Plagne is relatively quiet at night but it&#8217;s easy to get to Plagne Bellecote: the lift connecting them stays open in the evenings and there are shuttle buses too. They are also close enough to one another to be within walking distance, as long as the weather is not too bad.<\/p>\n<p>At 1930m, <strong>Plagne Bellecote<\/strong> is just down the road\/piste from Belle Plagne and shares the same lifts and pistes. It&#8217;s not as pretty as its sister resort and you have to walk up to the shared ski lifts rather than ski down to them in the morning but it&#8217;s significantly cheaper, has livelier apres-ski and is full of good value, simple apartments. If you want something more upmarket than the average, try the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/skissim-select-residence-saint-jacques-by-locatour.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Skissim Select &#8211; R\u00e9sidence Saint Jacques<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/city\/fr\/belle-plagne-fr.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Search accommodation in Belle Plagne and Plagne Bellecote &gt;&gt;&gt;<\/a><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"section-montchavin-and-les-coches-6\">Montchavin and Les Coches<\/h2>\n<p>Montchavin and Les Coches might be on the edge of La Plagne&#8217;s ski area but they are right in the middle of Paradiski because the Vanoise Express link to Les Arcs is on their doorstep. They also have good local treelined north-facing ski slopes. There are plenty of apartments, although many of them, especially in Montchavin, are in smaller traditional buildings. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/residence-le-hameau-du-sauget.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Maeva Particuliers R\u00e9sidence Le Hameau du Sauget<\/a> is a more modern complex in Les Coches with ski-to-the-door access. There is also the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/restaurant-bellecote.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"> Hotel Restaurant Bellecote<\/a> in Montchavin and the ApartHotel<a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/pierre-vacances-les-coches-la-marelle.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> R\u00e9sidence Pierre &amp; Vacances La Marelle et Le Rami <\/a>in Les Coches.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/city\/fr\/les-coches.en-gb.html?sid=09988b52a6a0e8cd424d4e9366c7e76d&amp;aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Search hotels, apartments and self-catered chalets in Montchavin and Les Coches \u00a0&gt;<\/a><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"section-plagne-montalbert-7\">Plagne Montalbert<\/h2>\n<p>Plagne Montalbert looks rather isolated on the map but thanks to its high-speed eponymous gondola, it only takes about 30 minutes to reach the centre of La Plagne in the mornings; and at the end of the day, there are lots of good blue and red runs winding through the trees on which you can return. At 1350m, Montalbert is not particularly high, but its local treelined slopes are north-facing and hold their snow well (with a bit of help from snow cannons).<\/p>\n<p>The village is laid out in a U-shape with the pistes, nursery slopes and lifts in the middle so practically all the accommodation is within a few yards of a piste or lift, and the resort still has a nice relaxed village-like atmosphere. Once the lifts close, kids rush out to the slopes and use them for tobogganing.<\/p>\n<p>There are two 3-star hotels in Montalbert:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/le-dou-de-la-ramaz.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00a0Le Dou De La Ramaz<\/a> has ski-to-the-door access and a sauna; the more expensive <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/club-mmv-les-sittelles-aime.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hotel Club MMV Les Sittelles<\/a> is 50m from the piste and has a swimming pool and spa. There is also a basic, but well-located, budget hotel (no stars), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/aigle-rouge.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hotel L&#8217;Aigle Rouge<\/a> which is within 100m of the piste and lift.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Plagne Montalbert Accommodation\" href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/city\/fr\/Montalbert.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Search Plagne Montalbert accommodation &gt;<\/a><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"section-champagny-en-vanoise-8\">Champagny en Vanoise<\/h2>\n<p>Champagny en Vanoise is on the sunny side of La Plagne. Although it&#8217;s grown considerably, there are enough remnants of the old mountain village famous for its orchards to give it some charm and character. It is very isolated from the rest of La Plagne and it&#8217;s even further from Les Arcs, but if you have a car, it&#8217;s feasible to drive to Courchevel and back for a day&#8217;s skiing in the 3 Valleys. If you stay here at the start or end of the season, you may well have to catch the lift down to the village because the bottom half of the piste is often closed. There are two 3-star hotels: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/ancolie.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Hotel Ancolie<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/les-glieres.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Les Gli\u00e8res<\/a> (both less than 5 minutes walk to the lifts). <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/lagrange-prestige-les-alpages-de-champagny.en-gb.html?aid=318396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">CGH R\u00e9sidences &amp;
