St Anton Ski Schools<\/h2>\n

St Anton ski schools offer a full range of expert instruction in skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing, including group lessons for adults and children, as well as private lessons and guiding.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Three categories of ski schools include “comprehensive ski schools” (the main ski schools); smaller “section ski schools” (offering ski lessons for all abilities, including guiding off-piste); and over 30 individual instructors operating as “one-person ski schools”.<\/p>\n

Two leading St Anton ski schools – the Arlberg Ski School and Ski School St Anton – employ over 360 ski instructors and guides, the vast majority of whom speak good English as well as German and provide the highest standards of ski instruction for all ability levels. Some also offer snow sports for people with disabilities, and three St Anton ski schools also offer childcare. including lunch if requested. Main ski school groups meet at the assembly point of the Children’s World in St. Anton (opposite the Gampen chairlift) and in Nasserein at the children’s area (bottom lift).<\/p>\n

Arlberg Ski School<\/h3>\n

Founded in 1921 by St Anton’s most celebrated ski teacher, Hannes Schneider, who pioneered the downhill ski technique, the Arlberg Ski School employs over 300 instructors, recognisable by their blue and yellow ski suits. Lessons range from beginner to expert level for both skiers and boarders.<\/p>\n

Founded in 1986, the smaller Ski School St Anton am Arlberg has about 60 instructors, who also wear blue ski suits but with red flashes.<\/p>\n

Closely associated with the Arlberg Ski School, Ski School St Anton offers group or private courses for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. Group courses for adults (minimum 5 participants), grouped according to ability (four levels) for 1-5 days, and children’s lessons according to age (4 years, 5-11 and 12-17 years) as well as ability.<\/p>\n

Skischule Alpine Faszination<\/h3>\n

Alpin Fascination is a small, independent “ski school” of four instructor guides specialising in freestyle riding and jumps, as well as ski touring, heliskiing\/boarding, and ski mountaineering on Rendl.<\/p>\n

Offering group lessons for skiers and boarders (4-8 participants), freeride camps for teenagers (4-7 participants) and group courses for ski touring and off-piste (maximum 7 participants per group). Also, private lessons for skiing and snowboarding, private Freeride courses (minimum 2 participants) and private lessons for 1-2 children. St Anton Classic is an independent ski school formed in 2009 by an association of former employees of the Arlberg Ski School, including some of its most experienced instructors. Recognisable by their green and white ski suits, all are highly regarded local instructors and guides who have lived in St Anton for most, if not all, of their lives and who prefer to operate independently of the main ski school, and with a sense of ownership.<\/p>\n

Offering guiding on-piste and off-piste for private groups of 4-7 people and 2-6 hours per day, to fast-track you to the best routes, huts and slopes, or to discover untouched powder in St Anton and the Arlberg. Safety equipment included for off-piste excursions from “beginner” to expert level. Also, ski and snowboard lessons and technique training for beginners, advanced skiers, and families, tailored to your needs. St Anton Classic instructors and guides will meet you either at your accommodation or at another preferred meeting place in St Anton.<\/p>\n

Founded by Graham Austick in the early 2000s and now owned by Florian Kraler, Piste to Powder is a team of 20 IFGA mountain guides who will guide you to the best snow and the best off-piste terrain in the Arlberg. Offering off-piste skiing for three levels of ability – entry level, intermediate and advanced off-piste – their Open Group system allows you to ski more and pay less!
